lincoln ip was established by matthew lincoln in 2007, a chartered patent attorney, european patent attorney and european trade mark and design attorney. with a background in physics and mathematics, matt was a patent examiner at the uk intellectual property office before turning to private practice in 2000.

matt advises clients operating in all aspects of the energy sector. during his career he has advised clients in industrial and academic sectors as diverse as semiconductor fabrication, medical devices, and fast-moving consumer goods.

david fulton is a chartered patent attorney, european patent attorney, uk registered trade mark attorney, and european trade mark and design attorney, having a technical background in physics, lasers and optoelectronics. david has considerable experience advising clients in a range of high technology fields within both the industrial and academic sectors. david presently splits his time between our glasgow and aberdeen offices.

karen veitch joined the firm in april 2011 to lead our expanding trade mark business.  karen is a uk registered trade mark attorney and a european trade mark and design attorney.  karen is also a chartered and european patent attorney, with a degree in pharmacology from the university of glasgow.  karen held the position of director, trade  marks in the glasgow office of a large international ip practice before joining lincoln ip.

stephen walker is a chartered patent attorney, european patent attorney and european trade mark and design attorney with particular experience in foreign patent and design filing strategies. he entered the profession in 2004 after undergraduate and postgraduate studies in laser physics, optoelectronics and spectroscopy at the university of strathclyde and imperial college london.

paul o’hagan joined the firm in 2013, and is a part qualified uk, irish and european patent attorney. he entered the profession in 2008 after undergraduate and postgraduate studies in biochemistry and biotechnology specialising in diagnostics at queens university belfast. paul brings to lincoln ip a wide-ranging experience of advising clients on engineering, physical science and life science projects.
